Ebay Car - How long for seller to get in touch?

I am naturally quite impatient but am I being too impatient?

I bid and won on a car on ebay last night, 8pm, and straight away sent a message to the seller asking if collection on Saturday would be ok and address etc.

As yet, no contact from them. There was no phone number on the ad and I havent been able to locate one through their other listing feedback. If i ever buy or sell anything then I make sure that I communicate swiftly with the buyer/seller.

    Am I expecting too much?

I have bought cars on ebay and I have to say it is probably a good thing - I found that when they are straight there as soon as it ends, they are a little too desperate to get rid if you know what I mean. Yes, they were skips on wheels!

I always give them 48hrs to make contact after the auction ends, you never know what might be going on in their lives. I always message with a contact number for myself and ask them to call me ASAP to arrange collection. I've brought many cars on e-bay over the years and only come across one dodgey seller whom I walked away from as the vehicle wasn't as described and guess what, he was the one straight on the phone the second the auction ended!

Could still be asleep, the other half does for England.

48 hours is a good amount of time.

    Very nice!

What happened to your old one? Did you write it off crashing into a 14 year old Toyota Avensis while trying to escape the Police after a drug deal went bad by any chance?!

    Naughty!

No, I had to jump it off a bridge into a helicopter that was shooting at me with a mini gun becuase they confused me with an international diamond thief. Its ok though, they knocked on my door and offered to pay for it.

I have to agree I'm pretty impatient, although I have eBay app on my phone like most people these days so reply within a few hours majority of the time.

My brother just bought a Honda accord 'tourer'. Despite my jibes about him being an old man and 'who died, there's a hearse outside' it's a fantastic car.

He has a great spec, lots of gadgets and cool little features. The best bit is that at 6 feet 4' I can lay down in the back! He has a vw camper van that the idea is to complete and go to The Spa F1 race. However we now think we could sleep on the Honda with plenty of room and comfort!

    Good choice!
