I am one of these people who will listen to any music so want you ideas on what should check out in 2008..
So here goes you get to give one suggestion of an artist/band and song from said artist/band that provides a good introduction to them.
Can be any genre of music but you only get one suggestion.

John Martyn - the album London Conversation
Old as the hills, but brilliant writing, classy acoustic guitar. There's one track on the album that's a bit weird, but he was starting to experiment with the pharmaceuticals that sent him well off the rails later. Now straight, missing a leg due to smoking, and performing again. Worth seeing if you get the chance. I'd guess he won't be around long.

London Elektricity - Different Drum
Bit of atmospheric Drum&Bass, from the album Billion Dollar Gravy.

I've got to click Shop, Amazon Shop, and then search for the item. Elsewhere we, sorry those who know how to do these things, have created an [amazon] tag set to give a click-through. All you need between the tags is the ref number [amazon]B000A2H9B6[/amazon] in the case of London Conversation. It gives an image, and a clickable link. No idea how difficult it is to implement...

My musical tastes are... unconventional. As such:
Rhapsody - The Bloody Rage of Titans
If you want to listen to more, I suggest you sit through the entire Dawn of Victory Album to get a feel for their full range of style.

Album for me for 2008 is "Saturday Nights + Sunday Mornings" by The Counting Crows.
Track 2 is called Hanging Tree.
Try that.
