Comp TIA A+ or any Microsoft as a start.

What route do you want to go down? Look at that then find a course from the above to suit.

The FITS Foundation - Professional qualifications and support for ICT staff within education - might be good if you want to progress to network manager etc

Currently looking at getting myself on some training as well

I don't think i could be a NM, i get distracted to easily, probably the highest i could reach is senior tech so this is what i am looking at achieving, I am currently in a school with 1000 pupils, 100 Staff and about 600 devices (yep you guessed it, only 1 techie) and i hold no qualification that's related other than a GCSE in IT. Thanks Hightailstar and Griff, will look into them and see what the school is willing to put toward them. also most of the laptops and computers are Dell, does anyone know where i could find some training, i have tried the dell website but i cannot get the training because we didn't directly purchase the equipment

You don't want to do a vendor specific course - do CompTIA A+ & N+ to start with.
