    Yes, I got it twice, I presume its a test which went wrong, just got another one apologising.

    I suspect someone has just lost their job.

    Will be interesting to see the outcome of this, I find it quite strange given that the first part of the notification was sent previously as breaking news. Perhaps the exploit they used doesn't allow you to create new breaking news bulletins, just resend old ones which can be modified. Or it was a genuine mistake and it was just meant to be sent internally.

    BBC seems to be admitting that it was an error on their part, nothing specific though. BBC apologises after news alerts sent in error
