Last week I was at a customer and we were configuring a 2nd soundcard in a test PC but the volume level was very low when we realised that in the box for the PCIe soundcard they had bought was a small power lead and the manual stated the card would not work at all without this power cable connected.

Trouble was it was an old style molex to what appears to be a floppy drive power connector, the PC only had sata power connectors so we took at trip to the local pc world and whilst they didn't have a converter they did have another PCIe soundcard that didn't need an external power connector.

Never thought PC World would save the day lol
