That frame looks awesome Ben, the arms look very strong and glad they did not cut 'weight saving' holes in them like the Spanky, as that's just a natural weakness.

Are you going to mount the FC direct to that bottom plate or do you have some plan?

I would use 2x10mm nylon hexagonal posts joined together to replace the 8 long posts and use rubber RC fuel hose on top of those to isolate the whole top plate and mount the FC under the top plate to keep it nice and clean otherwise its going to be sensing all those vibes direct from the motors....something like the style you can see here on my old MiniJAB but on your frame I would isolate the very top plate...

    Just an idea

Woo! 6 batteries, low wind and open field = amazing! Had so much fun and got the hang of stuff so much easier in such a big open space! If you're ever around Surrey JAB, let us know! Would love to see a decent flyer! (And maybe get some pointers cough cough )

Hey @JAB1a didn't see your latest post.

Mini H Quad – Build log 2 | Plextech UK this is where I'm up to at the moment I got back from holiday to a nice little box containing motors, esc's and props.

The power dist board I had ordered at the same time was too big so now have a micro one on it's way and some different screws for mounting the motors.

As soon as they arrive I should be ready to finish building.

@plexer That's excellent news Ben, that's a nice surprise to come home to after a holiday. I will go check out your build log now, thanks for sharing
@eyetea Wicked news you got some great flights in, 6 batts and still walked away with a flying quad, that's a good day indeed! I will give you a shout if I am ever in the area mate, always nice to fly with others

Everything else that's needed is on it's way to me just some different motor screws, some liquid insulating tape and other bits and bobs.

Might be flying tomorrow but final build won't be until the end of the week, the bottom "dirty plate" with arms and motors will be easily removable for maintenance/repair.
