@Grey-gear - It drives really nicely to be fair, I'm pleased.
@fiza - RRP was £21898 but managed to negotiate a decent discount.

lol... I wish my job did allow me to afford it too. I've been saving for three years and the finance deal was too good to refuse!

Volvo have some very good offers in at the moment. Were Mr gee40 not under threat of redundancy next month, we would be seriously considering replacing our V70. It will have to be a newer version of the same... two kids at university means a lot of junk kit to be carted along the motorways of Britain!

Talking of Volvos was getting diesel yesterday down the local garage and saw a newish xc90 with the bonnet up.

It's a manned station so was talking to the old boy on the pump, he said be grateful you don't have one of those (pointing at said xc90)

He said just ordered a new xenon bulb for it..... £140 ex vat for a BULB!!

I know they're supposed to last a long time but ffs....

That sounds cheap for the bulb tbh!

Lovely new car you have there @Gonk I love the feeling of picking up a 'new to me' car.

The girlfriend went to a Volkswagen dealer yesterday, I had a very excited call at 6 last night that she'd just been for a test drive in a new Polo and she wanted the car! £10,000 it was after I talked some sense into her she walked away! She's still at college and struggles with her finances as it is, that's the issue with cars people get bored of them it's like having the latest gadget. Her Corsa runs fine never let her down, gets her from A to B with no issues and was £1000 from a local auction. In the end they're all the same you're still looking out to the same strip of road when you're driving it and when I bought my car I hardly drive it anymore as I'm scared of parking it, I think I'd be sick if someone slammed a door into the side of a £21,000 car let alone my £10,000 car!

Cheap if they last a few years this xc90 was still under warranty, which according to volvo doesn't include the xenon bulbs.

Meh my 2010 cars bulb cost peanuts and can fit them in seconds was pleasantly surprised.

The volvo, after an hour they were still fitting them.

Love Volvos tbh had a few last was a top of the line 850 lovely car. Live the xc90s but too much to run for my tastes

My dad had to have a replacement on his old Class, that was less than a year old and they wanted nearly £500 for the bulb. Managed to get it replaced under warranty in the end.
