I see the BBC have gone around pulling down everything from Youtube claiming copyright with him on it...

Not the Comic Strip Stuff though
    Anyone remember Bad News?

Imagine Spinal Tap without talent! They did the Monsters of Rock back in 86 (no one knew who they were) and if you can find the video it's well worth a watch.

Really sad, still watch these to cheer myself up. Grew up watching him and Ade smashing each other with frying pans. He shall be missed

Absolutely epic comedians both Rik and Ade. He'll be sorely missed absolute legend of a bloke, feel genuinely gutted at this news!

Rik Mayall was a comic genius.
Remember him fondly from the 80s in The Young ones, and also the later stuff like Bottom.
He's one of those people who really had no equal, a unique character who could make you laugh just by looking out of a window.

Sad news indeed when someone dies

Though, IMHO, I didn't like his style of comedy and probably one of the few who didn't actually like The Young Ones, or Bottom. (
    Loved Blackadder though!

It's very sad news. Rik was an amazing performer and had superb comic timing. Plus, the fact the he and Ade could recycle the same jokes and still make it funny was brilliant!
Listening to Bad News on spotify and it's making me chuckle while I work!

The BBC have posted some great videos on their YouTube channel.

    Rik Mayall: The Funniest Moments

We're saddened to hear Rik Mayall has died. As Rick in the Young Ones, Richard "Richie" Richard in Bottom and as the indomitable Lord Flashheart, he gave us many laughs. Here's a selection of some of his greatest moments.

Man Down doesn't seem to have been mentioned much. That was hilarious, and he even looks like he could be Greg Davies' father.

Some fan sites have setup a just giving page for the charity Headway, a charity that supports those with head injuries.

I've donated, least I felt I could do after all the laughs he's given me.
