People need to get a life. No worse than Andy Townsend.

Bit much actually complaining about commentary.... Andy Townsend is much worse and before him David Pleat was without a doubt the worst commentator I have ever heard!

That's a bit harsh on David Pleat. I always enjoy listening to him mangling players' names : D

Ronaldo will be short of fitness, and though he may start, I don't think he'll be his usual self.

Germany to win by two goals. (scored by mertesacker and Lahm so satisfy my dream team's requirements)

Germany to win 2-1 is the bet I have on.

Ozil and Muller to score for Germany.
    Ronaldo to score for Portugal.

    Here is a nice statistic...

Germany have won their opening match in every World Cup since 1990. In no fewer than four of those six matches, they scored at least four goals, beating Yugoslavia 4-1 in 1990, Saudi Arabia 8-0 in 2002, Costa Rica 4-2 in 2006 and Australia 4-0 four years ago.

Think tonight may be too much for him. I reckon Portugal will struggle to get out of their group tbh.

Most of their creativity comes through Ronaldo - as does most of their goals. If he's not firing on all cylinders then I think they're going to find it very very tough (I'm not bitter about previous cups, but i do like seeing them lose! )

3-0 up against a 10 man team and the Germans look like they are hardly trying.

Germany frankly deserved that win. Portugal didn't show up.

Ghana should of got more out of their game with the usa (i stupidly stayed up to watch it, regretting that now!)

Ghana's all round build up play was good, but the final ball was always either poorly executed or the wrong choice of pass, frustrating to watch, as i think individually they have a lot of talent in that team. It's the same story with most of the african teams too tbh...
