    @ nephilim not quite true. it is Not allowed anywhere in the Uk private land or not it's fine to bowhunt using any type of bow,
    on the continent with the correct licence poundage bow, and I have no problem with it

    Hunting with the bow and arrow was prohibited in the UK in 1965. In the most up-to-date Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 its legal status remains unchanged. Modern Bowhunting however, continues to develop and to be employed effectively alongside, and often as an alternative to firearms in many parts of the world, including the EU, as part of existing wildlife management and conservation initiatives. The BBA believes that modern Bowhunting would make a valuable contribution to existing UK wildlife management and conservation programs and regional economies, should legislation be reintroduced.

    the ray meares episode you refer to he demos how accurate the bow can be and im[plies that you could take game with it but they did not take a rabbit with the bow ( it was dispatched by other means) for his supper

    no wheeley bows for me, bloody voodoo they are however I doo love my border takedown and am lusting after a black douglas or a once piece border reiver

    just cant justify the cost
