What Car have you got?
Just a question to you all,
This week Ive been using my 05 Ford Fiesta ST lugging stuff about for a show Ive been helping to provide sound and lighting,
It was perfect for the three days but I wouldn't want to use it all the time for this type of stuff.
What car have you got and what is it used for?

mostly daily commute but I've had my gas forge, anvil and all sorts of crap in it. Treat it pretty mean and it's got the scratches (internally and externally) to prove it.
Cheap little car and i'm not precious about it
(plus it does 58mpg )

I was getting sick of my astra breaking down or causing me trouble so last March I went for a brand new Ford Focus Zetec 1.0 Ecoboost in red (red is free) hire purchase lease agreement boom..I use it for commuting and social but in the spring/summer months I will be back on the road bike. I also strap the mountain bike to it for more adventurous riding I have to say I have noticed the amount I spend on petrol has reduce quite a lot also its £30 tax for the year...pretty awesome.

54 Audi A3 2.0 TDI. Does the job of getting me up and down the M6 without an issue. Bought it with 140K on the clock with full history and it's now at 166K and hasn't missed a beat (touch wood). Would love to replace it with something petrol and fast again though, but just can't be bothered when it works so well!

Honda Civic 1.8 Type S 2011, best car I've ever owned and I love the dash. Though I have to love it I'm paying it off for the next 4 years haha!

I have a 2000 Vectra DTi. Dirt cheap to run as I do any repairs myself and the diesel just seems to last forever. This is the 'throw the dog in after a muddy walk' car
Our other car is a 2010 Suzuki Swift which is great fun to drive.

Skoda Octavia Estate 1.6 SE, great car and brilliant for lugging stuff around (dog + camping gear mainly) due to its huge boot for its size. Had it 3 years and just replacing with the new version with a diesel rather than petrol engine and a few upgrades.

I've got a Skoda Fabia vRS (Mk1) 1.9 TDi. Maintenance has been a bit costly on top of the usual stuff (New steering rack, gearbox needed repairing at about 95k miles, so I put a new clutch & flywheel on at the same time) but it does the job. It's coming up to 10 years old as well, so it does have its little quirks and minor annoyances. My current work commute is a 60 mile round trip on motorways though, so it is quite a workhorse and generally quite reliable for what I need, averaging between 45-50mpg.

Saab 93, Mitsubishi Delica, and a Guzzi Breva. The last only has two wheels! The Deli is good for chucking lots of people in (6 proper seats, and a small one. You can even get 8 seater version with 4wd) You can even get 8x4 sheets in it with only mildly restricted viability.

Toyota Yaris (05 model) for when I need to wear a suit, carry tools or if it is icy etc.
My Suzuki SV650s for anything other than the above!

I sold my 2.2l Y Reg Vectra and bought an 05 1.6 Focus Zetec. Essentially it's used for commuting and visiting places. Periodically it'll have rubbish or IKEA furniture in it but most of the time it is just me and LeBoyfriend. Plenty of room in the back for future sproglets. I miss the grunt of the Vectra though. The Focus is a touch slower on the uptake.
