    1972 Customised VW Beetle with a 1776 CC Supercharged engine and loud exhausts, nicknamed the bat mobile. Not much that get's near it on a good day. :-)

    Also make use of a mapped VW Polo 150hp from a 1.2 is great fun! and it does all the donkey work without missing a beat and project number 3 is a stunning black beach buggy but need better weather for that!

    @Dos_Box - don't even consider the Discovery 3, you'll regret it!

    Got an 08 Mondeo TDCI, best car I've ever had. Superb build, handling, space, power.

    Also got a Suzuki Ignis 4grip for rough journeys, and still got my MR2 GT-S (my baby).

    Renault trafic sport crew cab.

    Enough room for a band of smelly metallers and all their gear, plus a 2 litre turbo engine to transport said at 110mph (not that I've done so....totally)

    Built on the renault chassis and nissan engine. Comfortable, reliable and useful as hell.

    Appreciate a big van isn't for everyone though...

    Only had it a few weeks but have a 1.6 Seat Leon SE Copa DSG 5 door, replaced my 1.9 Ibiza FR. I needed comfort in my life with the 30k a year I go. The FR was cheap to run but with over 100k well serviced it had seen better days. That was on a 08 plate and I now have a 62 plate. Full of toys the main one been cruise control, done just over 2.5k in the last 31 days and all is good.

    VW Transporter 8 seat long wheel base mini bus! 4 kids (latest born yesterday ) and a wife that needs a mobility scooter. Getting used to the size after driving about in a Toyota Aygo. It has a great view perched up above most of the other vehicles.

    Daihutsu Sirion 05 plate that I've had since new. 26000 miles and lives in a garage. Not the quietest of cars but it does me.

    Great little car, though had to replace the Blower Motor a year back (and the fan belts recently) but other than that it's been a good un!

    '99 1.8 Honda Accord Sport. The Nokia 3310 of cars. More bulletproof than Yun-Fat Chow. Apart from consumables and a drivers seat that doesn't move because I'm a fat bugger, it's been a beauty. It's having it's 122,000 mile service done by me at the weekend

    '03 Rover 45 desiel. Low tax, low insurance, good MPG, and it's a hatchback, powered steering, aircon, electric windows. Only complaint is it's a manual, other wise it might be the perfect car.
