    Also make use of a mapped VW Polo 150hp from a 1.2 is great fun! and it does all the donkey work without missing a beat and project number 3 is a stunning black beach buggy but need better weather for that!

    @Dos_Box - don't even consider the Discovery 3, you'll regret it!

    Got an 08 Mondeo TDCI, best car I've ever had. Superb build, handling, space, power.

    Also got a Suzuki Ignis 4grip for rough journeys, and still got my MR2 GT-S (my baby).

    Renault trafic sport crew cab.

    Enough room for a band of smelly metallers and all their gear, plus a 2 litre turbo engine to transport said at 110mph (not that I've done so....totally)

    Built on the renault chassis and nissan engine. Comfortable, reliable and useful as hell.

    Appreciate a big van isn't for everyone though...

    Only had it a few weeks but have a 1.6 Seat Leon SE Copa DSG 5 door, replaced my 1.9 Ibiza FR. I needed comfort in my life with the 30k a year I go. The FR was cheap to run but with over 100k well serviced it had seen better days. That was on a 08 plate and I now have a 62 plate. Full of toys the main one been cruise control, done just over 2.5k in the last 31 days and all is good.

    VW Transporter 8 seat long wheel base mini bus! 4 kids (latest born yesterday ) and a wife that needs a mobility scooter. Getting used to the size after driving about in a Toyota Aygo. It has a great view perched up above most of the other vehicles.

    Daihutsu Sirion 05 plate that I've had since new. 26000 miles and lives in a garage. Not the quietest of cars but it does me.

    Great little car, though had to replace the Blower Motor a year back (and the fan belts recently) but other than that it's been a good un!

    Silver 2006 2.0 na Subaru Impreza Wagon.
    Stock with winter wheels and Snow tyres plus Summer alloys and semi slick road tyres.
    Used for hauling mine and the missus mountain bikes in the summer, and the skis & snowboard in the summer, plus the usual shopping trips and holiday runs.

    '99 1.8 Honda Accord Sport. The Nokia 3310 of cars. More bulletproof than Yun-Fat Chow. Apart from consumables and a drivers seat that doesn't move because I'm a fat bugger, it's been a beauty. It's having it's 122,000 mile service done by me at the weekend

    '03 Rover 45 desiel. Low tax, low insurance, good MPG, and it's a hatchback, powered steering, aircon, electric windows. Only complaint is it's a manual, other wise it might be the perfect car.
