I suffer from color blindness and sometimes it can take me a while to get used to new 'themes' on sites I go to.

But the RM neon look had to go ASAP. Even spent some quality time in smoothwall locking down the site.
I have now turned on the V5 Blue and im happy again.

Have to say although I'm not colour blind, I do have an issue whereby I struggle with low contrast. I know the site well enough not to read the headings any more but if I do try to read them, it's a struggle. White text on that shade of blue/green is very difficult for me.

No problem with the fact it's RM (in fact I may even enter the competition) but have to say to whoever chose the colour scheme, I don't think it'd pass an HCI colour perception test!

I thought about that, before realising it would be pointless as I've only been programming powershell 3 months :P
    No chance I'd win anything

In fact, I'm struggling right now writing in error handling because [int] drops leading zero's and ($YearOfEntry).ToString("00") doesn't play nice with Test-Path

Can I point out that that is NOT mint green - mint green is much lighter and, well, greener, surely? That is more teal-y!!!
(oh come on, I'm sat at home unable to move - gotta do something...)

And there was me thinking 1024 had finally died out, I will add some css magic soon to fix that.
Excuse the mint green, I am male and I am not used to describing colours as things, its yon light green do?

She be locked to Neon for this week at least and we may have a skin for next week as well but if the rest of the site is purple the homepage will match as soon as the skins are disabled.

You have a bit of time to get your entry in at least its minecraft gear + a possible ps4 as well so it may be worth a crack.

Maybe. But I can't code anything exceptional (about the most I've done is a file that gets the content of 2 pages (Who's clocked in and where fobs were used last), strips all the html tags out, then compares who's in with last used, spitting out a list created from all names that appear on both sheets (because the clocked-in sheet only has IN (or, by deduction, NOT IN), but doesn't tell us WHERE they last were.)
It's automatically kicked out in the event of a fire alarm. But it feels kinda cludgy.

My 'Whodunnit?' script is written in Powershell 2.0 because Get-WinEvent doesn't work in Powershell 3.0 (there are rumours it does work if your locale is en-US but I can't figure out how to code that the script should use a different locale - Powershell 4.0 has this option, but not 3.0)

But given that haven't explained their judging procedure (Random selection/Names-out-of-a-hat? Popularity contest Peer review and vote? Panel of judges?) I dunno if I will or not. I don't really have anything special or new to bring to the table. Given that I can't even get this error handling/.ToString("00") working, I doubt I'm in with a chance.

I've got print scripts to tell you who printed on printers, how many pages etc (useful if you dont have/cant install papercut), a few scripts for active directory migration etc, and some for Office as well

    [INADEQUACY] See my point? [/INADEQUACY]
Will be interesting to peruse other peoples' entries though. Might give me some ideas, teach me a few things.

Been wracking my brains thinking of a good script. Best I can come with it one that plays some music and cycles this on the screen.

    Ones I have thrown up

retrieve the list of scheduled tasks on a computer,
return the Network Operating System (NOS) names for machines specified in a text file,
get details from Nic Driver page on a given machine and report in Excel,
retrieve and review the Disk Quota settings on a given computer,
list target user’s group membership in Active Directory

and a few others will go up later
