    Am I being thick or are people thick?

    My misses just went to the local currys to get me some thermal paste, and they said they didn't have any, she called me up to say she bought "Sugru Putty" Which they recommended...

    Now is it just me, or am I being thick?

    Not being hard on my missus, she's sweet and i appreciate she tried.

    They may be salesmen but it's currys merged with PC world... It just frustrates me they have staff selling stuff they don't understand... it's all well and dandy reading off a sticker on the box but if you can't describe to me what a processor does or why thermal paste is important, why are you still working there?

    Maybe im just being a grumpy person today

    Sugru is great but don't put it anywhere near your CPU!

    I can't remember a time that anybody in Currys/PC World had a clue what they were talking about. Don't understand why anybody would shop there to be honest, painfully expensive!

    Thanks for all the giggles and advice guys haha, I just thought as she was in town she could pick some up.

    Next time I won't send the misses to talk to chimps behind a counter, it's a hard job and even I'd struggle :P

    Toothpaste can be used in a pinch. It has the added bonus that it gives your CPU a nice minty aroma!
