Can't see the link from work.

We are considering giving Barista lessons, as the Mrs is trained from her coffee lounge days.

Ugh energy drinks in the morning! I couldn't do it a fizzy strong tasting drink to wake you up, my girlfriend was on energy drinks for a while and they're twice as bad as coffee really made her sick just google side effects of energy drinks they literally rot your digestive system!

Next I'm going to try a fancy latte when i get a chance. One of our IT teachers has a cupboard with, well......i'll take a picture soon to show you exactly what he's got. To say it's impressive would be an understatement, but I'm going to try his mini-cupboard based starbucks soon anyway.

For now I'll stick with the old can of monster to wake me up in the morning (a habit I'm trying to avoid seeing as one of the IT teachers here had a stroke from too much redbull. Granted he was drinking 5 cans of it a day!!!!)

We've got one of those Dolce Gusto coffee machines in the office, I have a small stash of espresso for the hard days but normally just drink tea. I don't like instant coffee like nescafe so head over to the local cafe or starbucks if I fancy one.

I like coffee and really like the idea of the nice coffee machines etc. But unfortunately, I can't drink it any more as it gives me horrendous migraines. Even one cup of filter coffee is enough to set me off.

I've even switched to decaff tea, but I'm not much of a hot drink person any more.

I would like to get a coffee machine for work, but I think those pod ones are pants. I've tasted them and I find it to be just as good as Douwe Egberts instant. I have three or four of those at work a day, and a couple of days a week, a triple shotter from Caffe Nero. We have one a couple of minutes walk from the college. I'd love to get a proper Gaggia for the office, but we can't stretch the budget that far. At home, I use either the Moka pot or the French press, depending on how lazy I am.

The first school that I was at was looking at putting in an internet cafe. I suggested they forget the internet part! Unfortunately, they decided there were better ways to serve the local community; they built a sports hall and the locals can use it after hours.

I'm pretty fussy about coffee - to the extent that I buy green beans and roast them myself and if I'm out and order an espresso there are mutterings of horror as there's a fair chance it will be rejected[*1]. Not that I've tried many, but I've generally been quite impressed by the coffee I've had from pod machines. Perhaps I've just been lucky.

[*1] Although the situation in the UK does seem to be improving, slightly.

I gave up caffeine for lent last year, no religious reason but I like to set myself stupid challenges. Managed absolutely fine, had one cup of decaf in the morning and that was it. Tempted to do it again alongside averaging one film a day for the year (I'm on 7 and intend to watch 2 tonight)

I serve Hot Lava Java to my parents - anything less than a 6 in strength and my dad calls it 'Weak as Gnats P-155'

It is nice but I try to avoid coffee generally.

In this office we have a Rijo42 machine and it is constantly moaning 'Empty Waste' - I think our developers actually have blood in their caffeine system.
