    I R HARDCORE!

Caffeine does nasty things to my kidneys so I avoid it. I drink fruit teas. I even order decaff lattes when I'm out and about. I don't even drink 'normal tea' at work.

In an office that literally operates on caffeine I'm the only one that is 'dry'.

Ha... this reminds me of a time a couple of years ago when I received a bag of chocolate covered coffee beans as part of a Christmas goody bag.

Well, I started munching, and went through the whole pack in a morning. I was trembling by lunchtime. I would have been able to catch a fly with one chopstick.

Part of the reason I had to give up caffeine - I used to get the 'caffeine come down shakes' - it was quite embarrassing. It reached a head when some woman literally veered out in front of my car in a cark park - she was walking on the path and did an abrupt 90 degree turn into the road and bounced off my bonnet (I was going super-slow - it was a multi storey car park and I was parking). It left me a bit shaky but I went off to lunch, had my usual coffee but by about 3pm I was huddled on the floor of a back room in a warehouse (I was a rep) trembling so hard I couldn't co-ordinate my hands enough to punch in the door code. Needless to say I had to drastically cut back after that... My theory is that the adrenaline released when the stupid bint walked into my car amplified the effect of the caffeine I consumed immediately afterwards. Bad plan. Bad bad BAD plan.

Yeah I've gone to 1-2 cups before 12pm only. I missed it for 24 hours once and got a headache for the next 24-36 hours out of it. not good

It's funny you should say stomach cramps due to coffee intake, I have stopped all coffee now just tea and squash as I'm on a health drive for the new year. I used to get really painful stomach aches but since I've stopped drinking coffee this has also stopped!!! I wonder if coffee was the culprit!?

I should say that I dont drink tea either, probably a handful of cups a year at most.

I bring a flask in here (equivalent to 3 large mugs) and drink it throughout the day (I like decent coffee, not the "flat pack" kenco stuff in our vending machine, that is bland), dont drink hot drinks much outside of work though, still love a coffee, took me ages to give up the sugar in it though and have it plain with milk

Has to be the coffee for me. It was the only thing I stopped having during that period and stomach cramps/bloatedness has gone compeltely. I dont drink coke/pepsi either.

    ^He's not kidding either.

Got this selection of "Coffees of the World" for Xmas which I've brought in to share as I'd never get through them all at home:

    Wow Coffee!!!!!-coffees-world.jpg

We've just started on the Costa Rican, which is nice and mellow with an indicated strength of '3'. We're working our way up to the number 5 ones gradually...

    Al

EDIT - Just checked and the Costa Rican is only a '2'. Fearing the number 5 a bit more now.

anyone have any experience with bulletproof coffee?? there is a lot of buzz about it recently but i'm a bit skeptical... apparently it tastes great, gives you a buzz and mental edge, helps you loose weight and stops cravings.... but 25 its a bit pricey.. I think i will stick to my dolce gusto until pay rise :]
