    CCTV video in mp4 format

I have 4 files in mp4 format that I am trying to get to play that have come from a CCTV recording system. All files are exactly same file size. Does anyone know of a free player to watch these? I have tried VLC, real player, QuickTime but to no avail.

I have access to Windows and mac computers

Usually footage pulled off a CCTV system is encoded and you require a plugin to play the video. I know any footage pulled off our system only seems to play in Windows Media Player.

Edit: I meant encoded, not encrypted - long week!

What CCTV system is it, they come with a disc most of the time with the software on but it might be online somewhere. Is it branded?

Footage pulled from most cctv systems is not encrypted.

Normally when burnt to a disk you run the little exe and it plays it in its own media player from the systems I have used in the past.

Files have been transferred to a USB....I'll double check USB.

No idea what system it was taken from. WMP didn't want to know.
