OK Trivial point but what was that Rabbitt, certainly not a 'watership down' wild type

    One of these perhaps?

I've been disappointed with the last two Docs. Thought Ecclestone, and the stories, were much better. (Note; I watched Pertwee as a child!)

Didn't Tennants 1st regeneration use the regeneration energy from the severed hand in the tank though?

Nope, he transferred all his regeneration energy into the hand as it was the same biology as him. Thus allowing him to remain as himself.

Hence the hand and Donna having a Human-Timelord biological Metacrisis

"The earliest authentic record of the Flemish Giant Rabbit occurred about the year 1860."[4]

I wasn't best pleased the Time Lords has laser guns. After the gauntlet-thingy in Tennant's final episode I much expected Time Lord weaponry to be much more.. Arcane.

    Aside from that, loved it.

My theory on the weaponry was that they'd had their history mucked about with so much during the war that they'd been reduced to a more primitive (by their standards) state.

Thinking back to the Eccleston episod DALEK, primitive weapons couldn't get past the force field. I thought that the 'soldiers' had good power/laser weapons suitable for a soldier rather than fancy gadgets that nobility may have.

I guess it's also worth noting that these were the galifreyan military and not time Lords as such. Only Time Lords get the good stuff and only they get to regen.

I believe that The Invasion of Time touched upon similar issues in relation to Gallifreyan society.
