Low salary? Neighbour paid more.... ?

My colleague at our partner school just had written confirmation that he is getting a pay cut. However, we at my place are not.

FYI it is going to happen to all LEAs eventually (within 3 years) and will affect any non teaching staff member paid £16,000 or less, full time (as of this date).

So those of you on the top of scale 3 Spinal Column Point 17 (s3p17 SCP scale) or whatever it is called in your area (scale 3 grade 3 etc.) will find yourself paid a bit less. I have not heard of a full time employee being given a pay RISE.

They called it a “Pay and conditions review” here in Warwickshire, which is a PC way of getting away with changing people’s contracts, legally, without their consent. You try doing that in the private sector.

Pay equality my fat one. Cost saving measure more like.
