No phones at my governor school today as a tree has brought the lines down. I left at 3.30pm and they still had no phones.
Home again now. I was surprised how light the traffic was on the way back. Seems like there were many people who didn't go in today.
Home near Oxford we lost our fence panels, no real damage to trees etc. In Hillingdon, loads of branches and trees over the road. School was ok though
Been across from Northern Lincolnshire to Manchester over the Pennines (via Woodhead Pass) and no problems just a lot of spray from the trucks, apart from that not a bad day. Glad to be home though and managed to get back before the light went.
Looks like we have been lucky up in Northern England.
Normal winters day here in Carlisle.
Light wind, sunny this morning and when I left work.
Cycled in and out with no bother..
we had a gurt electric spike (?) about 1230am monday, blew out lights bulbs, plug exploded in my hand, tv,toaster, alarm clock died. on the bright side western power are getting us new items and seeing as out tv was 4 years old and crap (32" acoustic solutions from argos) it's worked out rather well.
