Yeah i just braved looking out of the window - not as bad as first thought. Friend of mine who is a firefighter just tweeted saying can't be too much damage around here as his Pager didn't go off in the night!

Just another wet day here in Northern Lincolnshire. Will be interesting to see what the drive to Manchester brings later.

    Got in fine.

Saw a random dog wandering about on it's own, destroyed fences, a destroyed brick wall and bins everywhere...

Should I acquire a bottle cap collection? This is what you use in a post-apocalypse, right?

Here in Brum, the independent Monkspath Weather Station says Wind WSW 3.1 mph now with a peak of 10.9 at 7:10 this morning. I'm really glad I battened everything down

You saw more of the end than I did @X-13 - all we've got is a tree where it shouldn't be stopping trams and leaves everywhere.

Nothing here in Telford. Some light rain, but that's it.

Unimpressed. Spent yesterday moving the guinea pigs, rabbits and cats indoors to the brick utility room, into temporary safe accommodation. Reinforced the sheds, cleared the gardens of mobile things, several runs to the recycling center to remove unneeded things, made sure the torches, SLAs and 240v inverter were ready if needed..and nothing.

    Typical.
