    Tescos Local & American Products

Hot darn! I wander over to the Tesco Local to grab a bottle of coke and stumble across a small new section called "American Products"!

Lucky Charms, Fluff, Hurshey Bars, M&M's, Peanut Butter and 'Jelly', Al's Steak Sauce, flavoured pretzels in various flavours, Old Joe's Root beer and more! I could expect to see this in a normal Tesco Store but not a 'Local'. However now I know it's there, it's going to be dangerous!

Thinking about it, I think it may have been A1, not Al!

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Bart and Lisa come to the UK and try some British Chocolate.

    The Regina Monologues episode.

If I see this in My Tesco I am going to try something. Thanks for the tip.

Take me to the Japanese section in Sainsbury's TBH! The only thing stopping me is I don't know how to cook it.

I use Cybercandy for all "foreign" products. They have a real shop in Brum, which I visit when I go in to town. Tescos and Sainsburys used to sell Tim Tams, which really are the best biscuits on the planet. Since they've stopped, Cybercandy is my only source, apart from the odd trip back home to Oz.

A few years ago, the school I was at hosted it's website with a hosting company, and our site was on the same shared server as Cybercandy.

+1 for CyberCandy. When ever I'm in London, I make a point of going to their store near Covant Garden! However I usually end up spending up a small fortune!

I stopped reading after 'Lucky Charms' OMG! Need. Although not sure I need enough to brave the gazillion-watt lighting that leaves me with 2nd degree burns and retinal scarring...

Do you have a large american population? I have a large Tesco Extra here where I am and we don't have a US food section just a large Asian section which seems to suit the local community given the fights of Chipatti flour and 5 gallon drums of oil at the weekend! I would like a US food section though

I'd say there is a zero US population here in Taunton! I thinks it's more of a novelty selection rather than catering for the local US community.

Up at Cribs Causeway in Bristol is a giant Asda Wal-Mart super centre. They have a huge Indian and Asian selection which is great for picking up more obscure ingredients.
