remote control wall sockets, I want some
We have the remote control wall sockets for the speakers in our atrium areas; they're like 10 feet up the wall! They work really well though!
Lidl did those remote sockets years ago, very, very good especially if you have elderly relatives who can't reach behind sofa etc or like me you're just lazy.
Not great if you have kids though - mate of mine has no end of trouble with his toddler turning stuff off after she picked up the socket remote thinking it was for the TV (she fires it like it's a gun and mashes keys).
ha I was just about to say thouse are for lazzy people, but then i read this - Great for people who have trouble manoeuvring or bending to reach switches.
fair enough and good value
i spotted those on ebuyer yesterday and thought how crazy they are. Then i realised i could turn my tv/light/stereo off at night without leaving the bed! , woohoo!.Originally Posted by MrHappy

Wow, the height of slobbing! Pass me another beer!

I've been planning to set up an X10 home automation system at some point - then I could do everything from my PDA. So i've been holding off on buying these cheaper things.
Aldi, for when Lidl isn't quite Pikey enough.![]()

Seriously, you shouldn't use that term. It can very offensive to the travelling community as one mod has previously advised in a previous thread.Originally Posted by ICT_GUY

Yes lets keep this on topic shall we..

Hmm.. but how would a travelling person be a offended? Unless I'm very much mistaken they don't usually have internet access and so can't see these boards, unless they're stealing someone elses wifi (oops there I go generalising again).Originally Posted by torledo

Teddy, please don't troll - there have been quite a number of threads where they have gone off topic because of comments like this causing grief. There is no reason to continue that line of commenting other than to trouble-make.
One thing about Aldi - they used to sell apple pie cookies for 49p a pack. They do sell some brilliant products at really good prices sometimes! It's actually quite annoying that I don't have one near me!

It means the same as chav nowadays. Meaning has morphed along with a lot of other words over the past 20 years.
