Just had a look for the Tefal quick cup and it no longer exists.

I've had bad experiences with these instant hot water kettles and know two other people who also returned theirs, they never reached boiling point causing tea to taste odd IMO. Might be too many returns not enough demand?

There not designed to reach boiling point, they are rubbish for tea.... Ok for coffee which is what we use ours for. I have one at home and work.

Can't see the point, just tip a cup of water into the kettle, this can be done with any kettle on the earth rather than a specific, expensive model.

I know of several people who purchased one of these and had to return it multiple times as it broke.

Had one of these for years in the office at work, brilliant thing! Hate waiting for kettle to boil at home.

We had two. Both broke within a couple of weeks and you still have to have a kettle as these things didn't really boil water, or provide very hot water in large enough quantities when you need it!
As a product in the house not missed. Could be handy in an office though I have to admit.

Looks like that would be why they stopped them.

We've got the breville version at home but it's rubbish as it has one dose of water and no topup option so your left with half a cup.
Apparently there a new version soon. Will have to see what they do with it.

Some firms seem to do instant boiling water taps now. Part of our building has been refitted and had these put in rather than those large wall mounted hot water boilers. Not used one though so can;t cxomment on how well they work, but I can;t imagine them being as good as a kettle or water boiler.

They have boilers at work. I've tried both and seem the same but they still use the kettle.

Think it's more about so they can have a sit down . Also the boilers only get emptied once every half term if they remember so you only what to drink from them then.
