General Chat Thread, I hate to say this but.... in General; .....I think EE / Orange customer services is worse than Virgins.......

    I've given up - it's my son's phone I was trying to sort out. He has only 6 months left on the contract so that wait will cost Orange another customer [ which was one of the reasons I left then 2 years ago ] - I could never get hold of anyone to talk to. Funny thing was they kept ringing me when my contract was up but I told them it was too late.

    The only time i speak to them is to try and get back into my online account.

    I have online account with no paper bill.
    I never use it as I don't need to.
    When I use it to check for upgrades I find my account is restricted.
    I need my accoun tnumber from my bill to unrestrict it.
    My bill is online.
    My account is online and restricted...

    Go Figure!!!




    3G here has been poor since 4G, same everywhere..

    Considering leaving after 12 years if I can't get a 4G free at upgrade.

    3g quality has gone bad since 4g but only since 02 started with 4g.

    it's been crap for nearly a year.

    We get no voice/data in our office unless forcing to 2G ( i can do that but colleague can't) .. we just get voice by puttin up wall mounts for phones.

    My m8 on Three ( use Orange infrastructure aparantly ) relied on 3G for home broadband and it went down the pan at 4G, so he had to switch.

    I'm not the only one who has had concerns about mobile broadband lately. I am lucky to get a signal on Three and they don't have 2G fallback so it's all or nothing. Even with a signal on one bar, I can't do anything but light text-based stuff as pictures won't download and replying on Twitter or Tumblr ends in the connection dying and no clue if it went through or not.

    The mobile broadband industry has fallen down the pan presumably to force an upgrade to 4G. :/

    I gave up with Orange when the wouldn't send my phone for repair when it was within warranty (it was 2 days before the warranty expired). They argued that it would expire by the time it reached the repair people. Ended up getting the phone repaired myself, spoke with OfCom and got the repair costs, plus fuel and time used to arrange it all taken off my subsequent bills (something close to 400). As soon as the contract finished, I moved to O2. The only gripe with them is that they take a while to answer, but they're otherwise great for me.

    I'm inclined to move recently started a with a new phone due to upgrade, been with Orange some 8 years now with "EE" and the amount of signal issues I am having is unreal. Getting through to EE is horrible, at least Orange was quick.

    I think Three are really the best network right now. DC-HSDPA is nearly as fast as 4G, and most phones released in the last year support it. I'm on the verge of leaving Giffgaff as O2's network is too hit-and-miss where I live.

    I've had nothing but semi-decent service from Orange. But when I got a Virgin contract, I didn't use the phone for most of a month and only to answer calls one time, and they claimed I'd run up over 100 worth of bills from calls. When we threatened legal action against them, they cut the "debt".

    I'm not entirely sure whether or not that's good customer service or extremely crap overall service.

    I don't have a problem with EE/Orange or Virgin,

    Ive been with Orange for about 5 years and always got good service. They even ring me up offering freebies every so often, I got a call the other day offering to upgrade my data to 4GB for free.

    Signal is sometimes patchy but as I tend to go out into the sticks quite a bit and this is only where it happens Ive got used to it.

    ive had 17mb out of my nokia 925 on three only 20 times faster than my bt line lol. I find with 3 i either have a reall great signal or nothing at home its good upstairs but when i go down to the garage zero.

    Does any telecom provider have a decent customer service rep they all seem to be *^&%ers
