    Any IT apprentices out there?

    Morning,

Just wondered whether we have many IT apprentices here on Edugeek. It seems that apprentices can be quite secluded (well, at least to me anyway sat in a cupboard with limited light).

Seriously though, it can be quite challenging trying to complete coursework and not have anybody to share ideas and questions with.

If there are any fellow apprentices around that would be interested in keeping in touch, please let me know :-)

I mentor the IT (and other) Apprentices in the school. Yes it can be daunting being on your own. If I can be of any help give me a shout even if it is just being here to bounce things off.

I'm an ex-apprentice! Finished my course beginning of this year! Even if there aren't many apprentices on here, the EduGuys + Gals will always help you out I'm sure. Don't be afraid to ask...

I used to be an apprentice, but completed at the beginning of 2012 and lucky enough to be kept on ... which qualifications are you doing?

Sort of - I got this job with little, little experience and no qualifications. I am a full employee and am not training technically, but I am very much still learning, I see myself as a trainee. (Fortunately, the people who pay me don't!!)

What do you think the benefit of qualifications is? Don't get me wrong, they are great to have, I have qualifications in a different line of work and they are really useful when changing jobs etc. I don't have any qualifications in this line of work though, do you think that will hinder me in future or will experience and references be enough to 'get by'?
