Setting PCounter Initial balance
Is there a way to set the default starting balance of PCounter to have some credit? We normally provide new accounts with a £1 balance but when a new users is created they start with £0. We used to have it so that there was a default of £1 and I thought it was via a script, however the people who told me this was how it was are now denying all knowledge and as new accounts are being created with £0 resulting it is resulting in manually having to generate a starting balance.
Is there a setting somewhere where you can specify the starting balance of new accounts?

I have to say I have noticed new accounts start on 0, but I have it set to update everyone's account weekly so normally they are sorted before it comes to light.

Try this, open up PCounter Administrator, Utility and then Preferences and you can set a default balance.
Obviously if you have users in there it would not apply only for new ones.
Never done it that way on an install but should work in theory.

Scripting is pretty straightforward if you have a list of accounts.

Thanks, just found this in the documentation...Also found that there is a free quota option too which can be set to print only to specific printers which might be more useful as it's only really been asked for people to print the first day and they only really use 1 printer.
