    77 Years! FANTASTIC!

It was agonising to watch and I must stop holding my breath during tense points... but a fantastic result!

    Well done Murray!

Now we just need a British team to win the the World Cup... I won't rely on England to do it!

Amazing match. Straight sets victory was unexpected - Murry usually seems to need to be a set or two down!

It was awesome. Actually got a bit emotional, like a wuss. So chuffed for him though.

So Murray is now the holder of 3 out of 5 of the possible major titles... US Open, Olympics and Wimbledon.

That was an incredible match yesterday - couldn't believe what I was seeing! I too, went a bit wussy at the end with a pair of wet eyes!

And that last game was just phenomenal !
when Murray had 3 Championship points, and then lost them

I thought "If Djokovic wins this game, it's over"but then he netted that final ball (again!)

Murray played some of the best tennis I've ever seen - especially considering the temp was 40C!

Djokovic seemed really off his game, there were so many errors from him (both forced and unforced), and then losing his cool with the umpire over a line call and not being able to challenge it ..

Great day for Tennis and a great day for Britain and British sport...

    Well done Andy!

I feel sorry for David Cameron and Theresa May. All this time trying to get Abu Qatada out the country and now the headline is overshadowed by this!

I think this deserves to overshadow that guy! Who cares about him - he's offski! - Murray, on the other hand, is here to stay!

I should add, actually, that I don't actually feel sorry for them - both on the grounds of them being pillocks, and because it's rather poetic to see it happen to them after they've spent most of the last three years engineering the leak of policies and controversies in order to bury other news.

The Thick Of It is a documentary series, isn't it?

Bloody good match! Excellent tournament, and fantastic final game! So so tense!

It was one of those 'where were you when?' moments I think

I left the room in the end as every time I came in, Murray lost the point. So I sat outside the patio window for the last 5 minutes - bizarre really.
I thought Djokovic was magnanimous in defeat. A nice guy.
Interesting point though, if Scotland had already devolved then we would have supported Djokovic as we would have closer ties with him, MrwITch being half Serbian

I thought the same about Djokovic when he was interviewed, he was all praise for Andy, and admitting that he had a bad day on the court...

And why was Fatty Cameron there watching it? Shouldn't he have been running the country or something?

Yep, all people work on Sundays don't they... Try to keep your rage and angst and aim it at something sensible.
