I support a couple of primary schools and am looking at insurance for me as obviously I could cause damage, cause loss of data, or cause them to spend money on something which then turns out to be wrong. What do others do for insurance? How much do you go to?

One thing you didn't mention, is things like insurance for death/injury. Bearing in mind if you poke a pc, and it later electricutes/burns someone, you're liable. Which is the normal millions figures that are banded around for what is covered.

Are you a company or self-employed? If you work for someone they should have proper public liability and injury or death insurance in place already

@Steve21 - I didn't mention it, but I am aware of it. Usually it's £5,000,000 or something isn't it?
@witch - I'm a limited company (as of yesterday!)

As far as I know, you just get public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Ours costs us less than £20 a month and covers us for millions, I think.
