Average costs for IWB and Projector installs?

I was wondering what sort of prices we are all paying for installs of IWB and Projector installs.

Forget electrics ( lets say plugs are are already in place.)

What would/do you pay for installs of

    Smartboard & Proj
    Promethean & Proj
    Promethean Activeboard+2

Promethean & projector with activstudio3 software also amplifier and speakers + installation £2100.

This has come down dramatically from when the school had its first one installed back in 2000 at a cost of nearly 6k (this I have been told as i was not there at the time).

Re: Average costs for IWB and Projector installs?

Well to quote (can not say with out electrics sorry)

    1/ 1 X NEC VT59 FOR ICT 1, SCIENCE AND FOOD TECH.
    (1600 LUMENS / XGA / 2500HOUR LAMP LIFE
    3 YEAR DE-INSTALL RE-INSTALL WARRANTY)

2/ ICT 1 - projector bracket, cage, cable kit and power.
    Total cost. £ 912.00

Then board we last brought was Promethean white board £1200.00 (large wide screen one)

They were brought as separate projectors so if did together we could take at least 200 off would have thought maybe more.

78" Smartboard, XGA projector, Security Cage, Pole and ceiling mounts approx £2500. (Inc electrics which work out around £120)

It varies very slightly depending on the type of ceiling.

Re: Average costs for IWB and Projector installs?

Smartboard 77" + projector and full installation costs us about £1850, it's what I budget for anyway. The installation part of that is generally about £500 but I've managed to get them to reduce it to about £420 now.

I still think it's a rip off but as the council refuse to do them and we can't safely do them (and dont have the time either) I don't have any choice.

Re: Average costs for IWB and Projector installs?

I'd love to be able to do them in house but as I'm the only IT person, the CDT tech is unhelpful and the science tech is useless there isn't much choice but to pay!

We'd still have problems with the electricity supplies, old building and health and safety wise my boss would simply never allow it.

Understandable, of course not everyone is in a position to be able to do the installs themselves, we're just lucky. Handy to have the budget available for other things too

We paid about £1900 for a Smartboard 660, NEC projector and amp/speakers + power install for one this summer.

We have also been replacing some old Hitachi Cambridge Boards with Smartboards, and do the swap ourselves (it only takes 10 minutes).

Re: Average costs for IWB and Projector installs?

We've had Advanced Connections install a couple of projectors with speakers, which they did very profesionally and we've been very happy with the quality of their work and the equipment they've installed. They do full projector / wiring / Smart board for £1950 (you provide the power socket, although in our case they just led an extra long cable down to a wall socket).

About £2k here (varies depending on how awkward the ceiling wants to be).
