    Anonymous Proxy question

I need to use an anonymous proxy. What do you think of Tor and how do I check that it's doing the job?

    Re: Anonymous Proxy question

Yer that’s what they all say.... Ok if you want to check how its working you can check the IP address. If you go into your normal web browser and then go to sites such as whatismyip.com and check your IP. Then if you go into the proxy website and run it again if they are different it will won't be showing your IP so it will be anonymous. Is that what you mean?

    Re: Anonymous Proxy question

Yaeh, but whatismyip.com shows my actual ip addy even with Tor ramped right up. Seems that site can detect proxies. Any other sites to try?

What it's all about is me trying to find out how one of our little darlings did a wikipedia edit whilst on-site.
