    Question Minimal/Quick Windows Audio Player?

    Hi folks,

Any very minimal and quick-to-load Windows audio player?

Needs to handle MP3s, WAVs, and the basic range of formats.

VLC still too slow to load.

Asking on behalf of fussy friend :-)

    TIA

VLC is slow to load? It isnt for us. I would work on whatever is making it slow.

Do you have VLC installed locally. Doesn't take any time at all to open here, even on the old PC's

Tell him to stop using a 3,200rpm hard drive and upgrade to a SSD

This would be on his work laptop I suspect, so not sure what's going on. Would definitely be local.

jamesfed: work laptop so no dice I suspect, but I did suggest an SSD (makes such a difference!). Curiously Chrome seems to open MP3s at least natively, and quickly if the browser is open.

Good idea! Make sure you download the HC version though. It's more up-to-date.
