Company taking the micky delivering bike

    *sigh*

So i ordered my bike online. 2 reasons, i really liked the bike and because they offered finance.

I ordered it on the 22nd of May so it would arrive for the half term. I got told it would be with me in the week because of the Bank Holiday etc and that i would be contacted when it's due. Awesome.

So i wait. I hear nothing so i contact them again. "Oh there's been a delay with the supplier. We're really sorry, it'll be next week now".

Hmph...ok, i wait a little longer, nothing, so i contact them again (i am only emailing at the moment) and hear nothing.

So i Tweet my frustration and get a phone call. "Really sorry, bike should've been with us today but it hasn't turned up, we're open to 6pm or it'll be in the morning".

I also eventually get an email back saying "i can see you rang us blah blah" so i replied "no i didn't ring you, i got frustrated at your lack of contact and tweet. You rang me. Am i going to see this bike by the end of the week?".

I've just had a message on my voice mail "Sorry, supplier has rang up, Bike wont be with you till next week".

I'm so frustrated i don't know what to do. Do i just be patience and wait or do i tell them to stick it, but then i've got the whole finance agreement. I understand that they can't control their supplier but their lack of communication and what also feels like they're not too bothered. According to their site orders take from 2-7 days.

    Grr! *cries with frustration*

You shock me, surprised it's not purple! Problem is, if you go somewhere else you may/may not have the same problems!

Who was it with? Do they have another store which has the bike in stock nearby?

Ask them to compensate you for the delay & put a smile on your face ... how about free accessories, free delivery (if you had to pay), a free service, some gift vouchers......

Ah, i dunno. Sometimes i'd rather have something other than purple .

    It's from Tredz.co.uk.

I bought the bike I posted a few weeks ago (although people thought the front suspension was pointless, I still liked it). Company taking the micky delivering bike-0017157_mongoose_crossway_150_womens_hybrid_road_bike_2013.jpeg Mongoose Crossway 150 Womens 2013

I think it's probably the lack of care and contact that may be frustrating me more maybe....

Kick up a fuss with a lengthy email to the customer services department. Such angry missives have, in the past, earnt me anything from refunded delivery, £100 worth of vouchers* to a £500-ish garden swing for £300 with free accessories**. As an added bonus, venting with a sesquipadalian righteousness is really, really satisfying and will make you feel much better. I wrote a glorious complaint to o2 recently, though all that got me was a month's free rental. It was good, though. I might post it.

*B&Q really fouling up a bathroom install - seriously - two separate people both measured the dimensons of the room wrong. Differently. TAPE MEASURES ARE NOT HARD. And delivering a toilet with the pipe the wrong side. And running out of tiles on at least two occasions, leaving the room half done for a fortnight whilst they shipped stock into the country again.

**Garden company taking payment for a swing, then discovering it was out of stock, then not telling me nor sending me a refund. Only found out when I rang up and asked about where the swing was. So they sold me a higher model at the price I'd already paid.

Have you looked here Tredz reviews | Customer reviews of Tredz Seems like slow delivery is a feature of their service. I would imagine that they keep no stock at all, so your are in the hands of their supplier! If you really want the bike, then you can only wait. If not, cancel the order.

Fun fact: the latin name for fear of long words is "sesquipedalophobia"

    (I say "fun"...)

    I would cancel the bike.
First time you have any problems I would not want to try their after sales support of this is 'how they roll'.
