I'm only going there because that is where the other half lives.
I was there for 3 hours back in '81. Unforgetable.
3 hours too long?
As I said, unforgetable.
How did you end up being in Reno for 3 hours?Originally Posted by beeswax
Nevertheless, anywhere has to be better than where I currently live!
once you've got your feet under the table, and got used to the distances, try and get down to Yosemite. absolutely beautiful

Sacramento's nice. I found Vegas a little...hmmm.Originally Posted by beeswax
when we were there in '81 it still seemed to be a concrete strip in the desert, but then they thought they could make more money by making it "family friendly" I think the last time we were there was 2000. the girls enjoyed it, apart from the temperature at 48 deg C.
I've always had good times in the States and found people friendly and helpful, for the most part (you always get exceptions). I wish you all the luck in the world for your future, the pair of you. It takes a lot of guts to do what you're doing. Keep in touch, Letter from America used to be a Sunday morning treat.
Cheers. I'll still be on EduGeek (we've written it into the vows*). I guess the updated version of Letter from America would be Email from America. If I get a job in a school over there, as I hope to, it would be quite interesting to compare and contrast the two.Originally Posted by beeswax
*That may have been a lie.
Good Luck mate, you will be missed here in the UK.

lol the reason i asked where you were was so i could figure out how far you were from vegas. I absolutely loved it there. Not sure i could live there however!Originally Posted by sqdge
