Rep Power: 13 | Some of the videos will play and some of them won't. For example will play (its quite funny) and Won't play Clips totally picked at random. Some of the teachers here have found some useful clips to use in lessons science etc. So I thought I'd investigate. :? Thanks in advance |

Rep Power: 18 | Thought about downloading them and keeping them locally? More reliable if a teacher wants a specific clip repeatedly. |

Rep Power: 13 | Yes. But it will not play and have tried a number of things to download them, to no success. How do you do it? |

Rep Power: 5 | I've used downloadhelper for firefox, little add-in that lets you save the flv file. |

![]() | At my (ex) school, some teachers complained that they couldn't access some youtube videos. Sounds similar to your problem. I couldn't work out whether there was any logic to it - as often just restarting the computer would get it to read the vid. |

Rep Power: 6 | It seems to be working for me back at home. I'm out of the office at the moment; I'll zip the file up again and post it tomorrow. |

Rep Power: 9 | I think it's something to do with youtubes load balancing/how they spread their videos out. If a video you want is hosted on a really busy server then you've no chance |

Rep Power: 6 | I think you're correct 'TeddyKGB'. I've just tested the zip file on a virtual machine that has never had the zip file/vdownloader on it before and it has worked perfectly for me. |
