    Sidney Stringer, Coventry

My usual drive home tonight took me past Sidney Stringer in Coventry - a shocking sight to see it ablaze. 40% of it gone & they think it was arson. Thank God no-one was hurt.

Imagine the work lost and the work involved in trying to get it back up and running....

Eeek, burning schools are far to common around these parts!
They may be fortunate that it's mainly the sports hall area that has been effected.
I can relate to how much work is involved in getting everything set back up though.

I work for one of the departments which support Sidney Stringer school and we are helping with getting locations setup for the kids to continue their work and ICT. I also have their admin server sat on my desk. The whole school has such a massive road ahead of them now to get back on track - good luck to em - I hope they can have a fantastic new school renovation for the kids and a bigger car park - 'cos it was a nightmare to park there!

Hopefully, the new school will have better fire proofing, fire detection and fire prevention systems. I assume the police will be checking all pupils' mobiles for suspiciously early footage of the fire?
