Our local village/town has now got flagpole holders on all the shops and I see they have put flags up for St George's Day, which is nice.

Schools doing a St Georges day special - Roast Beef and all the trimmings or Butter Pie for the Veggies.

Bout time we celebrated St George (even though he wasn't English) rather than go overboard for St Patrick.

St Patrick wasn't Irish either. Likewise St Andrew.

    Happy St George's Day!

As is my custom, I've made a new school wallpaper for the day

I have just been reminded [by Peter Cockroft: Weather presenter: BBC London] that it is also William Shakespeare's birthday today as well.

He'd be down the Dirty Duck celebrating, if he hadn't been Bard.

Being a Taff by birth im going to say Meh to St. George's Day, but I also say Meh to St. David, Patrick and Andrew too. I did enjoy a pint of "London's Pride" down at the Local Rugby club with some mates last night because it was on special offer for St. George
