    Warm and sunny would be nice.

    However, we seem to have a choice: Cold and dry, or mild and wet. I'll take cold and dry any day, even on the bike.

    It's all in the jetstream, kids. As a rule of thumb, if it's far north of the UK, everything's nice. If the jetstream is over the UK, it's wet and windy, and if it's south of the UK it's cold (and dry in winter, wet in summer).

    Don't hold your breath waiting for spring weather.

    I guess all Eruope and Eruopean part of Russia suffer from long winter this year. Here spring came today only, its sunny and temperature is about +6. But yesterday it was freezing wind and mix of rain and snow. I suppose in April spring will come finally! At least I want to believe ))

    +6! @Elison there are many edugeeks that will be jealous! Even here in the 'warm' South of England where we don't have snow, it's barely reached that for ages!

    @elsiegee40 really? jealous?
    Honestly, I thought that the UK's climate is rather mild, and +6 you have in March (well, exept this year).
    Here its only he first spring day and we still have snow all around, and weather is very changable, so everything can change tomorrow (I hope it won't). But now we enjoy the sun, birds' songs, warm wind and a good mood

    We have the opposite, should be cooling down and its still 25 during the day. The last time it actually rained I posted about it. The grass is petrified so it's all dead and almost looks snow covered in the right light. Climate change is here and messing with us all.

    It's nice having that extra hour at sunlight but it's still incredibly bitter. Heading to Belgium/Holland/Germany on a roadtrip in 3 weeks, hope the weather warms up there also.

    From NOAA ( State of the Climate | Global Analysis - February 2013 )

    Australia observed its record warmest summer (December–February), due in large part to December's fourth warmest maximum temperatures and January's all-time record monthly warmth. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the average maximum summer temperature was 1.44C (2.59F) above the 1961–1990 average, easily beating the previous record set in 1982/83 by 0.21C (0.38F). All states and territories had above average maximum and minimum temperatures for the period.
