@Russ: I use Virtual PC for repackaging. I've done 200 plus packages on it without any problem. You never have to rebuild the template PC, you just set it to drop all the changes every time you shut it down. I assume you can do the same thing with VMWare.

Yes you can do a snapshot then select revert to snapshot or in the settings set it to revert to snapshot when shutdown etc.

Just follow the QEMU docs. Dead easy.

This could be of some use to some people. Its a prebuilt VM that is basicaly Ubuntu with firefox. It touts it as safe web browsing without getting spyware on your real machine. http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/vm/browserapp.html

    VMware Player image create

    Hi all
I have been playing around with vmware player V3 and as well as MS Virtual PC 2007 and I find MS VPC 2007 better to setup but it does not support USB so I set the image up how I want it and then vmware player imports the MS VPC 2007 image and you then get USB support, If MS added USB support to virtual PC 2007 it would be better than vmware player.

    worth a try

    Allan
