Congrats parenthood rocks!
Remember one important thing, do not feel guilty when she goes to sleep, make the most of it!
Congratulations, being a dad is fantastic and so worthwhile. All the sleepless nights will be forgotten when your daughter throws her arms around your legs and says I love you daddy.
Thanks everyone :-)
Weight: 7 lbs 6 1/2 oz
Sleep: am just about to have my first sleep since Friday night. Exhausted, guess I need to get used to that feeling :-)
Congrats to all 3 of you..
Congratulations! :-) Fab News!
Congratulations to you both, lovely news.
sub 18 days to go for me and the wife here, cant wait (the last month seems the longest of all to us)
Great news! Congrats...
You remember that closed-eyes thing you used to do between 10pm and 7am? No more of that.
Congrats bud! All the best!
For the first 4 (ish) weeks you'll wonder what the hell you have done to your life, right up until the moment she turns, looks and gives you the biggest smile in the world! Instant forgiveness.
Congrats.. It's all true - I was making brekkie this AM with DD (3) running back and forth round the house in circuits, stopping every time she passed me to give me a kiss/cuddle. Never gets old..or the "I loves you very much" as they fall asleep, which makes me have to have a quiet moment of reflection on what on earth I've done right, and how I managed it.
And I was woken up by DS (8 mo) crawling into the bedroom I share with DD at 6.50am, looking at me and shouting "DADADA-DY!", big grin, and then tootling off again..heh.
Yes, sleep and lie-ins goodbye to a degree (although DD does 6.30-7am)..but it's not forever, and you'll be amazed at how much more time you have in the day when you're up at 5am and think "It's not worth going back to bed"..
Best thing I've done with my life. Wouldn't miss a second. Lots of pictues, lots of videos - they advance so fast!
