I've tried that in both Chrome and IE and neither will show me the answers

By a process of trial and error... and fortunately being pretty certain which ones were right... I have identified my incorrect answers. Questions 11 and 13 tripped me up. I didn't read question 13 properly and never would have got 11 right... I can still hear my English teacher's anger as I failed to do this at school all those years ago!

Take 'em away @witch. It's not fair on those who want to do the test without cheating.

I think I did pretty well, considering I have no [censored] clue what they're talking about.

Put [ color="white" ] [ /color ] tags around the answers so people have to highlight to read them e.g.

You can read this bit but not this bit because I hid it.

(take the spaces out of the square brackets, had to write it that way to show up as code tags weren't working for me)

S'ok - I've put it in an attachment
Something going screwy in this today - I tried to quote a post and it edited it, I tried to post and it double posted, then posted the same thing twice in the same post

14, but it should have been 13 as I clicked on the wrong button and got a question right instead of the wrong answer I thought I was selecting (best to be honest in these things).

12/14 here. Got the "pride" one wrong (stupid now I think about it), and the "gerund" question at the end. I've never heard that word before, so I'm happy enough that my total guess was incorrect!

9/14. But is it really necessary to know *what* a gerund or a prepositional clause is, rather that you use them correctly?

You are correct. I was very good at grammar at school, but Clause Analysis in English lessons (this was the 1970s) bored me to tears. I could see the point in learning how to write correctly, but I couldn't see why I needed to know the names of the different types of clauses

8/14 here and guessed 3 of those, personally I don't see the point in worrying about spelling and grammar these days, as long as you can be understood eh?
