BETT 2013 - best bit of tech?

I thought it might be worth a separate thread to see what people thought was the best bit of tech they saw at BETT this year.
For me it was the Samsung SOTI tablet management software and the Lenovo Yoga tablet

You spelt "ICT-Direct's awesome DIY touch table" really weird.

TBH, most of what I saw hardware-wise was more of the same old thing. Except that robo-horse... I've never seen one before. I should have taken a picture. [I keep forgetting my phone is a camera.]

There was a company that began with a V. The stand was red and they did big displays.
On their stand was a clear box you could see inside but it had some sort of see through active display in the front glass.

Sssh you'll make my techie chap blush!

We're glad you like it! We can't wait to get it finished and working fully.

I thought the F1 simulator on the Dell stand was cool, and also the robots that er... 'did the robot' were awesome!

I'm still waiting for a holodeck however...

Japan were working on touchable holograms, last I heard.

I also heard the first thing they did [after testing, I assume] was to make some "adult" content...

Ooooooooo! I'm more excited about this than I possibly should be!

Similar sort of tech to Project Touch too which is nice! I want a go!! [Not on the 'Adult' version obviously!]

Le Edit: I clearly need help having just used more exclamation marks than I did sentences...

I was interested in what Dell, Samsung and Lightspeed were doing for MDM ... but I really loved the stuff happening on the Learning Together stand (Heppell.net / Netgear) with the Raspberry Pi ...

I was also really impressed with a bit of software, as demonstrated on Friday night at the TeachMeet. Publisher ... naff for DTP but brilliant for creating clipart ;-)

SMART demo'd a new plugin they have, which allows iPads and any internet enabled device (so tablets, phones etc) to interact with a SMART Notebook. Works well obviously on an IW, but can also work without one. I was impressed by that - we already have all the kit as well.

Vestel - They were a funny bunch, when I went to ask about the screens none of them spoke English and told us to come back when the English speaking account manager was on the stand, when we did go back and asked him prices he said 'we don’t sell to you, you have to go through a reseller' and left it at that!
