That is one of her favourite places sitting ontop of a Cisco box on a stack of stacking boxes in front of the Stanley Stove (Aga-style product) as its warm and she can see on top of all the worktops in the kitchen and watch what is going on

Doesn't she look happy to say she was a rescue cat from a gang of druggie's and then we were asked to look after her by my wife's friend who had other plans, her boyfriend had a phobia of cat's and so after she came back off her holidays she asked us if we wanted to keep her!
WTF no question about it!
Sure we did and 3 years later after much psychological therapy with a riding crop! yes a riding crop but with a difference it had a soft cloth wrapped around it and it took a year of gentle coaxing to finally win her confidence and allow us to touch her.
Now after 3 years she sits on our laps, jumps onto our bed (at the foot) and falls asleep regularly.
She is beautiful and loves all the attention and affection we can give her and more, i wouldn't be without her

13th January 2013, 11:33 AM #56 *Sigh* I miss having pets. Up until I left uni, I had a pet of some form or other for my entire life. Since then, none.
Just too difficult with rented housing, and lack of funds.

No space. My place is like the opposite of the Tardis, you think "hmm, should be reasonably sized inside" when you're outside, then you get in and realise the walls are 3 foot deep, and therefore the 2 rooms are minuscule.

I am the same, grew up with Dogs, budgies, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, fish but all I can have now is Fish, as wife is too nervous around "unknown" dogs (tolerates my parents dog without a problem) and a baby just around the corner means that its on hold a few years at least now my master plan, to make my mrs non-fearful of dogs and own a lovely family pet

13th January 2013, 10:50 PM #60 Meet my girl Roxy, we rescued her after seeing an advert on Stuff4Sale, we went to visit her and she was running around a council estate so we would have taken her anyway as the owner then didn't give a monkeys, she's been with us 4 years now and she great! She's good security and she's very well behaved, and Roxy and our daughter absolutely adore each other!
