That is worse than the one I was following on Saturday; we passed a copper who turned around and pulled him. Restored my faith in karma somewhat.

The M6 Toll was good for skating and sledging last night, watched a boy racer in his Clio decide that Lane 3 looked better than the gritted Lane 1 and proceeded to go slipping around the place hehe and then when I was getting bored of the 20mph in Lane 1 I just stuck the Off-Road mode on the car on and used Lane 2 and quietly and carefully passed about 20 cars and the gritter lorry oh and the idiot boy racer who by that point was trying to keep up with me with my heavy duty snow tyres vanished into the Lane 1 queue, must have realised that he wouldn't beat a 4x4 with snow tyres.

Certainly interesting weather we are having, I drove from Yorkshire to Surrey yesterday afternoon / evening and then back up today and such amazing contrasts, Surrey had more snow than we did at home in Yorkshire, Birmingham seemed to be a Snow central last night on the way down and today Manchester north seemed to be sleety /snowy. Very weird

School is open as per usual, no snow overnight but still absolutely freezing. Cranked the heater up to the max and the coffee is on.

It was raining for most of the day and then around 3 it turned to sleet and then to snow. It is still snowing, quite heavily, and it is beginning to stick.
According to the forecast, it isnt supposed to last long though.
I of course walked the dog in the pouring, freezing rain and got absolutely soaked! If I had just waited a bit I could have been frolicking in the snow

    Oh great... it's snowing here.

Husband has just telephoned me to say that there's a blizzard where he's working in Surrey and the M25 is stuffed (nothing unusual in the latter, but not good news when combined with a blizzard).

We had about 2 hours of quite heavy snow and then it turned back to sleet and then rain - exactly as the weather forecast said it would

Forecasting heaving snow here on Friday, but also for rain and warmer weather over the weekend..
Will be glad in a way, roads are treacherous after last nights freeze...

Pretty much normal business as usual over here, no forecast of snow for the next few days either.

We had a thaw last night after the evening snow. There were a few more flakes falling just now, but nothing serious and the temperature is +2C so the thaw continues
