Our local Morrisons sold out of bread and milk yesterday. People were buying ~8 loaves of bread. It wasn't even snowing that much.

They're expecting to survive on something that perishes quickly?

You can freeze both bread and milk.

Didn't have to wait long ... closing at 12-40

    We have snow... sort of.

But a message has been sent to parents saying they can pick their kids up from 1pm if they want to. [At least on parent has taken that to mean "AT 1PM PRECICELY YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR CHILD!!!!"]

Dread to think what the roads around Ironbridge are like, they were bad enough in much lighter snow when I worked in Broseley.

Probably best to leave the car and sit in front of the roaring fire in The Coalbrookdale Inn then

I am at home now but my place of work is still open. My son's school is closed because the access roads are treacherous and they have cancelled all school buses. Thus it was down to me to go and pick him up and bring him home.

    Working from home now.

We're closing at 2.. doesn't really seem that bad at the moment, but I guess some of the coaches have a long way to go, so better safe than sorry. It's expected to get worse yet, so there is wisdom in the decision.

We are finishing now. We had one parent waiting since 9am for the school to decide. A decision was made at 12.30

She's loving it; tearing around, chasing snow flakes, playing with any passing child. Her sister is curled up on a warm bed.
