and that was from staff, bloody mean.
We've had a warning from the Met Office for heavy snow tomorrow early morning. Hopefully it'll be before the school opens

17th January 2013, 03:23 PM #197 Bum. We're in the damn way! We've already fired up digital messaging, Impero notifications and SMS to inform people we're opening at 10 and closing at 2 regardless, and monitor the website and twitter for further updates.
Wait and see time...if it hits badly, I reckon we may be closed. Maybe. At least the tiddlers get Friday, sat, sun and Mon off Nursery (they do a 3 day week), so I'm not having to worry about driving them or the missus about in it. Just me, the Astra, my trusty autobox and winter tyres.

18th January 2013, 06:21 AM #201 We have no snow at the moment [the forecast says to expect it at around 8:00: Just when I am dropping my son and his friend at their school which will probably close early today]
Edit: Just watched the latest forecast. It now looks like it will arrive here 10:00 - 11:00.

18th January 2013, 06:34 AM #202 We never have snow, I'm jealous. 32 degrees is just uncomfortable, -5 to 10 degrees would be much more comfortable.

18th January 2013, 06:39 AM #203 Snow here (Worcestershire), just a light covering at present but it is getting heavier. Looking at the weather station, the wind is coming from the east, which makes me wonder which way the weather is travelling?

18th January 2013, 06:45 AM #204 Just been out to walk the dog - he got very excited and was jumping around eating the snow like a puppy - he's 14!
No sign of any gritters and we live on a bus route near a large hill.
Went to the county website to look for the closure list and it is down. Already. At 06.10am! Oh come ON people! No notification of closure on school websites yet - hope it appears soon as I normally get in at 07.30am

18th January 2013, 06:57 AM #206 It hasn't made it to West Kent. To be honest, I'm not expecting much here either (Famous last words?)

18th January 2013, 07:21 AM #207 It seems my servers at both schools are down and have been for the same amount of time - must have been a power cut.

18th January 2013, 07:35 AM #208 Easiest drive in to work for ages! Snowed last night but the roads are clear in my bit of Leicestershire. I finish at 12 today so hopefully will get home before any major snow hits.

18th January 2013, 07:40 AM #209 Just pressed the School Closed button
Doesn't help me though, I'm already here. May as well stay here and use their heat.
