    Untidy cabling

Occasionally we have threads on here about lousy cabling by contractors or others. My other half has been working in India for the last 18 months or so and recently visited Nepal (without me )

    He took some amazing pictures

    ... and this one...

That's electricity, not phones... I assume most of it is people stealing supply.

It almost makes you afraid to walk down the street!

No matter how bad that looks (and heaven forbid that looks like a right nightmare!) - fair play to the chaps that still manage to work with that mess, that must take some serious skill/balls to add to that bundle. I wouldn't even want to walk under that lot!

It does not my cabinets are works of art, all colour coded (were up to about 6 colours now), tied in patch groups of 5 or 6 depending on the breed of panel and labeled with the port number its in at each end

Ha, seen lots of that in Asia, always amusing. Suppose it's secure enough to steal if enough people do it - what electric company is going to want to decipher where all that goes!

BBC News - Why India loves a good electrician - read this a while back on BBC and it ties in nice with that, I dont think I would fancy being near any of that and its no wonder they suffer brownouts there with that kind of meddling.
