I noticed this recently - obviously a change of heart from RM about MSN, as when I asked them a few years back why they don't block it, they said it's because you can only chat to people you know, and not "randoms" as on MySpace, Facebook and so on.

Unfortunately, we don't have SafetyNet Plus, so we'll just have to cope without it. The kids aren't allowed on it anyway, so it's just a handful of staff who'll notice it's missing.

Why dont you allow the unfiltered access? The swgfl (RM) allows this, so I assume all RM provided connections do?

    Much easier.

Also login.live.com - I found that out when live.com was in one of the blacklists I downloaded.

You could install an IM client that allows you to change the port, i don't know the name of the top of my head but the one integrated with SUSE Linux allows you to do that.
