    Free, Secure E-Commerce Website Package

Thanks to Mrs. Tech_Guy, I've been roped in to helping a family friend set up an online business despite my pleas of ignorance - to be honest I'd rather spend my spare time either unconscious from too much JD or asleep...

Does anyone have any recommendations? They have a domain already and a hosting company, so it's just a case of finding something they can stick their advertising copy on, product photographs, and be easily updateable. Payment is the snag though. I can set up a website easily for them but integrating secure online payments is the main issue.

I've looked at some solutions online but was wondering what others have done?

    Many thanks.

Ebay...not totally free but pretty cheap dependant on what they are selling.

Otherwise I don't think there are any free options...somebody always wants to make money from your sales

Used osCommerce before - very simple to setup and use, then just works.

I've used ECWID before. I can highly recommend it, 5 minutes to setup and it's free!

OsCommerce was good about 6 years ago. If it's still actively maintained I'd suggest old = well proven / debugged / good.
