Great tech support from my ISP
Some months ago, my ISP announced that they would be upgrading their email servers and users would slowly be migrated. I haven't received any emails this week, not that this is unusual. Today I sent myself an email from work and when I got home it wasn't there. So I contacted my ISP to find out where my email was as there wasn't a bounce message. The support desk told me that I had been migrated to the new server and details of changes that I need to make to my email client had been emailed to me. When I pointed out to them that I think is would have been a good idea to send me an email before they move my email account, their customer support disagreed. Sending me an email after migration was company policy. So I asked them how I could read the email, and was told that I needed to login to the new webmail facility. So I tried this and, of course, my old password didn't work. "That's right, you have to use the new password, which is in the email that we sent." I must try something similar myself, next time a student wants their password reset.

Sky Broadband is indeed terrible, but I never had a problem with their tech. support.
My vote's for TalkTalk

It's Demon. They used to be good once but that was a long time ago. I could change but as far as I can tell all ISPs are much the same, ie complete pants.

Genius... the older I get and the longer I work, the more I realise that 95% of people have no idea what they are doing on a day-to-day basis.
